Jinibara Dance Troupe

Munimba-ja are proud to host the Jinibara Dance Troupe who perform traditional and contemporary corroboree that sings up our country.

The Jinibara Peoples’ country extends from its western boundary of the Brisbane River to Kenilworth Bluff and Eudlo in the north and runs along it’s eastern boundary down to Caboolture region and then along Mt Mee, Mt Glorious and to the Gap then west back out to Wivenhoe dam. It is a nation of four clans over three language groups.

Munimba-ja are proud to host The Jinibara Dance Troupe led by Burrumgum and Cobble Cobble Song Woman Lucy Davis . The group perform traditional and contemporary corroboree that sings up country. With the guidance of tribal elder Uncle Noel Blair, and Uncle Kenny Murphy the group sing and dance culture with pride.

Dance and song is a very powerful way to experience our culture and to strengthen your connection with country.
